My son’s health story changed the course of my own.
In 2021, I had just started a new role as Director of Human Resources for the city where I worked when my family’s world changed. My youngest child, Calvin, was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome and ADHD. He was struggling with motor and vocal tics, and we were trying to understand what he needed and what the future might hold.
As his mom, I wanted to explore every avenue that might help Calvin live a full life. Alongside the care available to us, we began working with a functional practitioner and making changes to our daily routines. Over time, Calvin began to thrive. The road has had plenty of twists and turns, but seeing him do so well inspired me to learn more about this approach.
After retiring from my full-time HR role, I pursued certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner through FDN. In my work, I use functional labs and each client’s symptoms and experiences to identify opportunities to support their health. Together, we look at practical changes in diet, rest, exercise, stress management, and targeted supplementation.
This work became personal for me, too. As a midlife mom, I had spent years pouring into my children while giving little attention to my own needs. I had begun to accept feeling unlike myself as part of getting older. Learning how to support my own health helped me see that I had options.
I believe you deserve to feel heard and to have choices in how you care for yourself. Medical care is an important part of that for many people, and there is no single path that fits everyone. If you’re curious about a functional approach, I’d love to help you explore what it could look like for you or your family.

If this sounds like you, you are not alone. Let's walk this path alongside one another to find the quiet, sustainable restoration your body is asking you for now.
